Presentation Ideas - Week 7

Hello guys! This is week 7 of the blitz project. The ‘blitz’ project is a project that will end up showcasing a blend of fashion and music by displaying and making/designing clothing articles and accessories inspired by music. LAST WEEK

I have posted six other blog updates for the past couple of weeks which you can check out in the blog section under the ‘BLITZ’ category. Last week I previewed some designs on my blog posts and wrote about the music that inspired them. You should definitely check it out.

NOW

This week, I was actually thinking of ideas on how to present my past blog posts. Throughout these past few weeks, my project has somewhat changed a lot into what I had in mind. At first, this project was meant to be an EP since I've always wanted to create my own set of music with lyrics, but since this project was to get out of our comfort zone, I chose to do 'blitz'.

In my mind I had the idea to design clothes and sow them together, however, the time and my class schedule did not allow for this to happen. Instead, I designed articles and merchandise like clothing, but I didn't make them to wear (sowed them) by the end of the 8 week span.

In order to present this, I think I will record the music video that I had mentioned a couple posts ago. Except instead of creating my designs in real life, I will end up drawing them and editing them in the video. This way it can be less time of a struggle trying to find the right materials, fabrics, etc.

Kanye West "Heartless" Music Video

For the editing style I was thinking more of a Kanye West "Heartless" and Kid Cudi "Day 'n Night" animations as shown here. But nowhere near that perfect because of the time limit and I am still very new at animation editing. The video would just give the idea to my main visual which I plan on working on during the summer.

OBSTACLES

This week also had some issues due to time. Finals coming up is just making the weeks more packed. However, I still plan on recording the video and sharing some of the process and songs in the next update.

PROGRESS

This week gave me an opportunity to explore other options on how to present my project. That really helped since we have to do a video anyway. As for the coming weeks, I still plan on making time for the video shoots and song process, even after the 8 week timeline. As for next week, I think I will show a video update of what it looks like so far and the song or playlist. Thanks for keeping up these past couple of weeks.
